A Corrugated Case

A corrugated case (box) is made out of corrugated cardboard. Corrugated cardboard is made of two sheets of paper separated by a fluting medium.

Where extra protection or strength is required twin cushion corrugated cardboard is used.

How to calculate the size

The size of a corrugated case is defined by the internal measurements and are always in the order of length x width x depth. For example the size 500 x 300 x 200 means that the box is 500mm long, 300mm wide and 200mm deep. The length and width dimensions are usually measured across the flute direction and the depth dimension is usually measured parallel with the flute direction. The sizing of cases is very important to ensure that your product is transported safely and securely.

What is a Carton

A carton is small box that is made out of lightweight board such as formakote. Examples of cartons are chocolate boxes, cigarette packs, and fish finger boxes.
